AI agents can generate code faster than traditional CI can validate it. We need to change how we think about CI to keep delivery fast and maintain trust.
Launching today in early beta, Origin code hosting features a Depot app to run your existing GitHub Actions workflows on Depot CI for better performance and reliability without GitHub.
Depot is joining the Stripe Projects developer preview. Developers and their agents can now set up Depot from the terminal: create or link an organization, pick a plan, and get a token back that unlocks fast, reliable software delivery on Depot.
Source control has become the bottleneck at the top of the delivery loop. So we built our own: a diskless git server backed by blob storage that scales horizontally, mirrors your GitHub repos, and plugs straight into Depot CI. It's now in private beta.
Agents can write and push code in seconds, but CI still takes minutes to give them feedback. That mismatch is the biggest bottleneck in agentic engineering today, and it's why CI needed to be rebuilt from scratch.
We're excited to announce that Depot CI, our own programmable CI engine, is now generally available to everyone who wants to accelerate their CI in this new era of software engineering.
The better the context you can give an agent, the better the results. Today we're publishing Depot skills: four structured skill files that give agents everything they need to use Depot correctly, installable with a single command.
AI can help write your feature in 20 minutes. But if your CI pipeline also takes 20 minutes, you've just traded one bottleneck for another. The bottleneck in software development has shifted from writing code to integrating it, and our workflows haven't caught up.
2025 was a big year for Depot. We helped accelerate over 100 million builds and helped incredible engineering teams save years of build time. Here's a look at the numbers and what we learned this year.
