GitHub Actions Benchmark
Restic
restic/restic
restic is a backup program that is fast, efficient and secure. It supports the three major operating systems (Linux, macOS, Windows) and a few smaller ones (FreeBSD, OpenBSD).
With depot build, the past 10 runs were
178% faster
saving a total of
11m 58s
compared to docker build.
About the benchmark
For every commit to restic/restic, GitHub Actions runs one workflow job building the project with the docker/build-push-action action and caching enabled and one workflow job building the project with depot build. The time each job takes is recorded and visualized here.
